| Stamp Patterns Available |
Stamped concrete is the most versatile design catagory there is today for your concrete areas, sidewalks, patios, and driveways. You can choose between dozens of patterns, colors, schemes, and sealers.
There are hundreds, maybe even thousands of different concrete
stamp patterns all over the world. There are at least a dozen
concrete stamp manufacturers in this country alone. When figuring which
color scheme and pattern will work for you, remember most patterns and
color schemes are interchangable.
The patterns below are
what we currently have in stock. Other patterns are available for
rent for an extra fee. Please ask your project manager for details.
|
SEAMLESS SLATE TEXTURE
(with 24" scoring at 45 degree angles)
This concrete stamp texture has no particular bond pattern. What you see is a simulated
seamless stone texture imprinted into the concrete across the entire
surface. This photo is a natural base color with a charcoal accent color. |
 |
ASHLAR SLATE STAMPED CONCRETE PATTERN
Our most popular stamped concrete pattern. Why so popular?
This pattern does a good job of not appearing repetitive and the stone
imprint is moderate and attractive. This picture shows a saddle brown base with several different accent colors including charcoal, slate grey, and brown. |
 |
EUROPEAN FAN STAMPED CONCRETE PATTERN
Used most often for concrete driveway entrances, this stamp pattern can add a western european flare to any concrete area. This sample has a saddle browm base color with a charcoal accent. |
 |
HEAVY COBBLESTONE STAMP PATTERN
Another great pattern for driveway entrances. This concrete pattern
has deep joints and looks very much like real cobblestone to the naked
eye, without all the hassle of real cobblestone. This particular sample
was poured natural, with no pigmentation. |
 |
LIGHT COBBLESTONE STAMP PATTERN
This pattern, a cousin to the heavy cobblestone pattern
above, features another cobblestone look with a more subdued texture. The photo shown is the stamped pattern without any color added. |
 |
SLATE BRICK BORDER STAMP
We use this concrete stamp as an inexpensive design enhancement
to any concrete pour. The pattern is a perfect compliment to control joints which should be placed at a maximum of 12 to 15 feet apart on most residential concrete driveways, patios, and slabs. Shown with
an ashlar slate patio. |
 |
|
For your project, you will need to first determine your favorite
pattern. Ashlar slate is the most popular stamped concrete pattern
we own by a factor of 2:1. Cobblestone patterns are best suited for
driveway entrances, sidewalks, and joint enhancemnents. Seamless
patterns are better on porches, pool decks, and patios because of the
light pattern that is easy on barefeet. European fan is usually found only
on driveway sections, usually at the driveway entrance. |

How expensive is Stamped Concrete?
Stamped concrete is a beautiful and economical option. Stamped concrete is more expensive than plain concrete and exposed aggregate or "pea gravel" concrete but cheaper than real stone, pavers, brick, or tile. Although square foot prices vary, you will find stamped concrete falls within the $6 to $12 per square foot range.
How long does Stamped Concrete last?
If your Stamped Concrete is taken care of properly, it should last as long as your home. The key to a long lasting project is maintaining the concrete sealer. Every stamped concrete project involving color requires a sealer. Without the sealer the imprinted colors would soon wear off leaving only a faded base color and the stamp pattern itself.
What does a stamped concrete sealer do?
A concrete sealer is an epoxy or polymer that creates a semi-impermeable barrier between the stamped concrete and everything else. Similiar to nail polish, it will react to solvents like gasoline or acetone, and solvent cleaners should not be used. If applied properly, a concrete sealer will protect the color harderners and colored release from damage and wear. Stamped concrete sealer must be re-applied every two years or so.
How are the stamped concrete colors chosen?
BOSS Construction will work together with you, the customer, to determine the perfect color scheme for your specific stamped concrete job. All of our patterns and color schemes are interchangable. We usually pull from the color scheme already in place with your home or surrounding structure. Our stamped concrete color structure begins with a lighter base color that is accented by a darker colored release that will stay more in the lower, deeper areas of the pattern to create a shading affect. We recommend two colors, but many of our projects have three or four colors throughout the stamped concrete surface.
Can you go over (resurface) existing concrete with a stamp pattern?
We do not provide resurfacing as a service. Resurfacing and stamped concrete resurfacing is a service provided by other speciality contractors with special training. Many of our customers are suprised to find out how affordable removing and replacing entire sections can be as compared to resufacing the same areas. Call our office for more details.
